The bigger problem is giving kids awards. All kids should get an award for completing pre-K. That's it. They get an award without any need to hand out special awards for anything.

I thought the structure in playgrounds where kids could climb and hang from horizontal poles and swing on swings was called a jungle gym, but I guess those words aren't acceptable in certain neighborhoods any longer.
