re: Mom arrested for posting video of High School fight - Bonus MILF mug shot

I scanned the comments on the first KATC FB post.
Someone posted a screenshot of her post with the video. It has "is feeling concerned" and she appeared to just be bringing awareness to what was going on at the school. In not way did it appear to be for selfish attention.
Also, that same person mentioned the husband may have received the head injury while in jail.

This law sounds like bullshite and this arrest sounds like bullshite.
I hope none of you really support something like this.

Can't vouch for this, just something I saw.

She is about to have a 2019 Tahoe with a 30A sticker compliments of the Scott Police Department.
ETA: And so many hair highlights and nails.

If this is what she posted that resulted in her getting arrested, I hope she can find good legal representation and sue those ignorant fricks so they will think twice before arresting people for whatever they want to arrest them for.

Don’t think the law as written and signed into law is bs, but the police ignoring the key component that law is only applicable to the specific principal(s) and accessories committing the actual crime shown in the video being shared is bs.
I knew the husband had several arrests but had thought injury was accidental doing something embarrassing or illegal or even possibly self inflicted in suicide attempt since gofundme & other posts were so vague about cause. If they were blaming police they might have been looking for anything to help pay for his treatment as It kind of seemed like husband wasn’t getting a lot of sympathy or donations before this (may have picked up some the Week before after Dianielle McNicoll shared it), but you would think even if no chance for police to be held at fault they would be careful to not arrest her for a law that doesn’t apply to her without ignoring law’s main component. Surely they could have found things to ticket and then claim her to be combative during process or something that actual fits a law. Most people then would not have even given a second thought about her, but promoting on FB that sharing crimes on FB & other social media is illegal (even if not involved in crime) was going to bring attention regardless of person or situation with husband. It just seems to stupid to do as intimidation, but maybe that’s their strategy.
I keep going back to it’s something about kids in fight or their family or about the police’s reaction to it or lack of reaction to fighting in schools in general. Night of arrest city had a town hall meeting to push 1 cent sales tax and had chief of police and chief of fire department on hand to help show what it would be spent on. Maybe they thought they could limit people posting crimes and fights that might draw questions about their ability to be good stewards of additional tax money.

No matter how trashy she is if the post that shown is correct it is scary. This guy is in the position of being a chief of police and he seems to be skirting on abuse of his powers.
He needs to get sued to the point the City of Scott can not afford the insurance policy to keep a force and police chief like this active.

Freedom of speech issue.
She needs to find a constitutional atty who will take this case pro bono (and/or on contingency)
KLFY posted the fight footage on the internet - they are a for-profit corp. Who was arrested from KLFY?
She should SAY NOTHING and SIGN NOTHING - and get a competent ATTY ASAP.
BTW - the footage shows a huge kid pummeling a small kid. Does the chief have any connection with the big bully?

I love how this thread is actually two threads in one.
1. One group talking about the hot chick.
2. One group discussing the merits of constitutional law and the judicial system.
It demonstrates the OT’s range. Only thing we are missing is more humor. Some hilarious stuff but not as funny as the roofing company or the paranoid chick threads.

look at the title of the law
Unlawful posting of criminal activity for notoriety and publicity
this is a law aimed at preventing criminals from using the internet to gain "notoriety and publicity" for their crimes
that's why it requires you to be a principal or accessory
these cops are fricking idiots and likely are abusing their roles for some personal or political thing. it's either that or their department is incompetent and should face federal civil rights charges for being unable to read the laws they execute

"For noterity and publicity" is very vague.
You can interpret many ways.
One could say every post we make is for notoriety.
You're explanation makes sense. It's Too keep criminals making themselves famous, as that's the media's job.
