Only reason why i find it strange is because you would think she would have tried to save them.
A white woman killed her children in SC by driving her car into a lake and another one drowned her kids in a tub in dallas years ago...just saying it sounds suspicious

Apparently, she just sat there. Something doesn't add up here. No mother sits and waits for her children's bodies to be pulled from the pool in that situation.
Either she had something to do with it, which I doubt, or she was nowhere near the pool when they drowned and was in shock. I have a very hard time believing she was in the pool area and didn't notice three kids drowning.

I agree. I've seen parents get immersed in the cell convo and just tune everything out though. Go to the park and you'll usually see one parent totally absorbed with their phone....it happens. Just like leaving the kid in a hot car.

something doesn't add up here. 5 kids by 30 isn't a big deal, but having a 9, 10 and 11 year old, who are playing at a pool but can't swim AT ALL (assumed, from the fact that they all three drowned in a pool at the same time) makes no sense at all. I used to walk or ride my bike all over town to swim in rivers, ponds and lakes with friends or just one friend at that age.

Obviously the lady is a shitty mother, regardless of whether or kids could swim or not.
Your analysis on the historical implications for those of African descent and swimming is spot on. Doesnt mean its an excuse to not adapt, as swimming is a survival tactic. However, its something that is honed in the summer months and after school, and economically (culturally), these are things some lower class families and families just trying to make ends meet dont prioritize and I can 100% see why.
Community pools, with free swimming lessons for kids ages 1-15 would be a good use of tax payers $ IMO

20" rims, sat tv, flat panels, internet, iphones..those lower class cant even afford these. kids' actvities are a luxury.

Thats such a gross exaggeration and ethnically charged stereotype. Do you really know how they make ends meet? I think its asinine to make that assumption.
Just because you think those things are trivial, doesnt mean other cultures or groups of people dont waste their money on trivial and childish things as well.

Irresponsible to raise kids and not teach the how to swim. Even worse to take them to a pool to play when you know they can't swim.

It's not a lack of programs. Parents that can't swim don't want their kids to swim because they are afraid.
Why don't black American's swim?
