you dont understand liability then.
I DO understand liability but I also understand being responsible for the safety of MY kids and personal responsibility.

One of them didn't die until the next day, so there was a chance that they could have saved one or more in time and given them a chance

Has Dr RC completely absolved this mother of all liability of letting her children drown yet?
Independent of race here, there will always be people that want to say leave the mother alone, she's suffered enough. Part of me agrees but as a juror I'd put 95% of the blame on her.

Probably but this is why we're called a "litigation nation"

i have a pool and if i didn't have a secured fence around it and a neighbor comes over and drowns in it i'm fricked.
Not in LA since they changed the trespassing laws
Everything is posted whether there is a sign or not and you take all liabilities when you enter a property that you don't have permission to be on.
BTW, a fence doesn't promise anything. A kid climbed a fence and drown in a pool here. The old lady that owns the place is the sweetest woman in the world. She is loaded and gives a lot back to the community as well. It affected her greatly when it happened but she had a fence and it was locked so it was not her fault at all. It was just a bad situation.

Reading the comments on WAFB, a lot of people suspect the possibility of foul play here, but I'm not sure I see it
Especially since she still has 2 kids

I want to know what the mom did from the time she realized something was wrong to the time someone jumped in the water to help.

Our pool was cloudy (chlorine issues) for a short time and a few people were losing their mind about it. Now I see why.

As stunned as I am trying to imagine taking my kids somewhere and letting them swim without the proper safeguards I do not think prison is the answer. Tubal Ligation is a much better alternative.

What was the cellphone doing that was so distracting the mother couldn't notice her three kids drowning?

Not a lot of water in a lot of Africa. In America, slaves weren't allowed to learn how to swim because they could get away, so the fear of water was always put in them. After emancipation, blacks weren't allowed in most public swimming facilities because of segregation. After integration, blacks still didn't live close to water as often as whites did, and blacks were less likely to own their own pools. Even today, there are only so many public swimming facilities in urban areas, hence the limited swimming experience possessed by blacks. Basically, literally every historic, geographic, and cultural factor that contributes to a culture learning how to swim is one possessed by white America and lacking in black America. The result: blacks drown much more frequently. LINK /
That's all fine and dandy but those kids drowned in a pool. They obviously had easy access to it. This is the mother's fault and no one else's. 1. She never taught them how to swim. 2. She allowed them to swim in the deep end knowing that none of em could swim. 3. On top of all of that she was wasn't even watching them.

Drownings usually don't look like that.

I don't disagree.
The first days my pool was open this summer some Mexican kid jumps off the diving board. It was an end of the school-year party. His dad is standing by the diving well yelling at the lifeguard "He can't sweem!" Then why in the holy frick did he jump in the water and why in the frick did you let him? And why in the frick is he at a pool party is he can't sweem?
