Sigh.

LINK

quote:

Biotech company Moderna has shared findings that its coronavirus vaccine offered trial participants immunity up to three months after the second jab.

The vaccine still awaits emergency approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which plans to meet on Dec. 17 to discuss the company's application. The FDA will meet on Dec. 10 to discuss Pfizer’s vaccine. In the meantime, state leaders and health officials have begun announcing that initial doses of coronavirus vaccines, namely that of Pfizer, are expected in the coming weeks pending the FDA's approval.

quote:

The jab involves a two-dose regimen, administered 28 days apart. At the 100-microgram (µg) dose, the vaccine “produced high levels of binding and neutralizing antibodies that declined slightly over time, as expected, but they remained elevated in all participants 3 months after the booster [second] vaccination,” the doctors wrote. The levels of antibodies among trial participants also "exceeded" that of 41 recovering COVID-19 patients in a control group.

Adults aged 18 to 55 saw the highest levels of antibodies, followed by the eldest participants (aged over 71), and finally, those aged 56 to 70. The team reported no serious adverse events, "and no new adverse events that were considered by the investigators to be related to the vaccine occurred after day 57."

Yet, we're 9 months in, and they still haven't found a legit, verified case of reinfection. At least not one they can all agree on.

Just to be fair...

They haven't been testing it that long and the Moderna one if I recall is a completely new way to do vaccines, so its possible its long term we just don't have the data.

IF it is only 3 months, its completely pointless to get it.

Are people going to just get the vaccine every 3-4 months for life?

Total nonsense.

Not "up to", "at least". Two vastly different things.

Antibodies are only one aspect.

People who contract COVID likely have resistance for a year or more.

SARS resistance has reached over a decade already.

I don't think that's quite true. A month or so ago they were up to like 30 worldwide.

Its the title of the article.

I also explain in a later post that we simply don't have enough data yet to say whether it does give longer immunity.

Yes there are hundreds now, which is like .0000001% reinfection rate and exceedingly rare.

it seems to me that they are saying that they still have immunity after 3 months NOT that it only last 3 months

In a country where 70+ million people voted for Joe Biden, yes, they will.

1) Out of irrational fear
2) To be contrarian to people with differing political views.
