valorize

I don't think he knows what this means.
val-or-ize: To establish and maintain the price of (a commodity) by governmental action.

If he said glorify, revere, praise, or honor then that would be the correct word choice.

If setting race relations back means not holding police accountable and appease faux irrational racial fears and basically just staying quiet about injustices..than yeah he did.

You know, all is well if you just shut up and be quiet.

So. Are you ready to join me in my push to have mount Rushmore torn down and our currency redesigned and redistributed?

I mean if you are so mad about slave owners as statues that you see a handful of times a year (if at all) surely the oppression of having to see slave owners on the currency you spend every day is absolutely unbearable, no?

How can you sit idly with a wallet filled with slave owning bad men?!

New Orleans’s Robert E. Lee, Jefferson Davis and P.G.T. Beauregard statues were erected with the goal of rewriting history to glorify the Confederacy and perpetuate the idea of white supremacy. These monuments stand not as mournful markers of our legacy of slavery and segregation, but in reverence of it. They are an inaccurate recitation of our past, an affront to our present and a poor prescription for our future.

Kind of like you did about these statues up until the moment your Mastah Mitch told you it was an "issue"?

he wouldn't even win a state election, let alone be a viable candidate for the presidency. I seriously see no political future for him after his tenure as mayor is over.

I was told by some friends that live in the Quarter he has his eye on a judgeship and thinks this will help his chances with the black voters.

I don't know if that has any merit but I was told that by two different sources who run in different circles.

I think this is outdated. His brother is running for the fourth circuit, and he'd never take a seat at CDC on a lower court than him. Unless he thinks he has a shot at Bernette Johnson's seat on the Supreme Court when she retires.
