Missouri city police chief 'unexpectedly' resigns along with every single officer

Police departments across the nation are understaffed following resignations and early retirements

A Missouri police chief and all of his officers tendered their resignations, citing reasons from the pay rate to not having the proper tools to do the job, leaving local leaders scrambling to fill the positions as many departments already struggle to stay staffed during the anti-police climate that swept the nation.

"It will be a struggle to fill the police department back up with qualified officers, but hopefully they can start working on that soon and get that accomplished," Stone County Sheriff Doug Rader said of the resignations at the Kimberling City Police Department, noting that most police stations are understaffed.

Rader's comment comes after Kimberling City Police Chief Craig Alexander put in his notice on Aug. 23 after accepting another position, and told the town’s mayor that he wanted a change and to better himself

That’s crazy. But I guess they don’t feel appreciated for what they are asked to do.

If a single person is affected by crime after this, the former police chief and all of these officers should be arrested.

Why?

They are not mandated by any law to protect or serve anyone. That was made obvious in previous US Supreme Court cases.

Under what law should they be arrested?

Also, Scruffy has no issue with this.

This is what the US electorate wanted with the 2020 election.

It's just a movement. They can't be held responsible for anything.

Thread title is misleading. I'm about 15-20 minutes from Missouri City, TX and was started to get worried.

Good. It doesn't pay to be a cop anymore. The job is a lose lose situation. Cops can't do anything right anymore. If they do their job they are criticized and if they give into the woke community and crime rates go up they are criticized for not making a difference.

So if you’re the safety guy at work and you feel to resign for whatever reason. Should you be arrested because someone died there after you resigned? What a dumbarse statement.

But they’re no longer cops. Hence resigned/early retirement. That means that they’re normal citizens now.

Explain how this would be their fault? If you quit a job and something bad happens after you’ve left, should you be held accountable even though you don’t work there anymore?

Your take is so bad that you’re making me add more.

Why don’t we place the blame where it truly belongs, the criminals. Remember, cops don’t exist if there’s no crime at all.

Why should these people be forced to do a job that they no longer wish to do. Are you saying you support slavery, because it sure seems that you do?
