how is La 13? we can do better!
I'm really suspicious of these numbers, especially the DUI arrests. Are LA cops just letting the drunks go with a warning?

Lists like this are stupid.
It's like when they do a list of "most stressed-out states." The headline gets clicks, but if you read the article, they based the scores on third grade GPA, orange soda sales, and mortuaries per capita or whatever.

But accurate in this case. Mississippi drivers are fricking terrible.

Yup, that’s why I say I can read them better now, I can tell what they’re going to do...so I just assume they’re either idiot-assholes (a real term in my family) or on the phone. Different approaches for each...

These people know that there are no real consequences for this, so they just say frick it. Just like a multitude of other things that they’re supposed to do.

As far as fatalities go in Mississippi, 1.69 people die per 100 million vehicle miles driven,
If you don't crash close to Jackson, Hattiesburg, Tupelo, Memphis, or the Coast. You're going to die due to shitty or lack of medical attention.

I don't buy it, Louisiana is far worse. We have the easiest roads to drive on and people can't even do that right.
I was recently in Austin Texas recently and if you were to put Louisiana drivers in most areas in Austin, it'd be a complete shite show.

Your area is the worst, driving into bsl is a nightmare with terrible and distracted drivers in beat up cars. And speed traps.

But I was told Louisiana has so many more uninsured drivers than the rest of the US and that’s what leads to our high insurance rates.
That all of these injury lawyers help keep these evil Insurance Companies in check.
Looks like the professional liars lied once again

I’m amazed we’re only 13th.
I’m also amazed that some states have about 3-4x the number of DUIs.

Well I just drove down 45 from Jackson TN to Mobile and back a couple weeks ago and it was totally event free. I know that goes through almost nothing except for Tupelo, but it is almost a relaxing drive compared to what I see in MO on the daily.
