i have been in some intense situations over this exact thing. i had a dude that we locked in a bathroom trying to keep him from going crazy on a whisky bender. Found him later that night when we went to check on him passed out in the hole in the sheet rock wall he made with his head trying to get out. We got him out and made sure he was alive he then jumped up and grabbed car keys (not his) and another guy ended up tackling him in the parking lot trying to get in his truck with the wrong keys. had to hog tie him in the living room until he feel asleep..then the little shite wanted to know why he was so sore the next morning. shitty night man...i don't think that guy touched whisky again to my knowledge.
Some people just don't know when to quit.

Did he think the survivors would forget he just shot 3 people?

Considering he was drunk enough to kill people for his car keys, he likely wasn't thinking about those details.

Sad thing is if he would have died on his vomit, yall would have been fricked. Catch22.

I dont know any alcohol that gets me all that fricked up with out mixing on binge. But I control alcohol, and dont let it control. Best piece of advise my dad ever gave me back when I was 21.

Well yeah, not saying I’d do different. I just don’t believe their story of why.

Who gives a crap what they said was the reason. A drunk madman was on a killing spree. I would have ran away too.

Return the favor to him. Just put one in the back of his skull and be done with this trash of a human.

You have to wonder if they would have let him go, if things would have been okay? Or he could have plowed into a minivan and killed more. In this case, damned if you do, damned if you don't.

I agree, but I also don't really think it's out of the realm of possibility that they actually were thinking of protecting the kid.

I guess there are some real tough guys clicking on these keyboards to imply to us all what they "would have done" to this guy had they been present.
Yep, seems to be a bunch of keyboard warriors out there. Bottom line, no one knows what they will do until they are faced with that situation.

Setting like that, you probably don't have your gun with you.

But I'm sure captain redneck with his .45 in the car would handle this perfectly.

i've only had a gun pointed at me one time in my life. When i was like 18. Easily the most scared i can ever remember being.

turned out to be a starter pistol.

Makes sense.

I guess you could say it gave you quite a “start”.
