802.5 lbs.
Nature, you a muthafricka!
The gators & crocs (as species) got lucky and survived.
They give us a hint of what was out there.

It's big. That's not a question. But forced perspective ruins it for me because I know it's not *as* big as it looks.

Kinda sad, at that age and size I wish he could’ve just gone out in nature. That gators seen some shite
At that age, he probably had osteoporosis and gout. His kids were probably too old to take care of him, and the grandkids are all spoiled assholes too busy chasing frogs to pick up the damn phone and call their old grandpappy. He probably knew exactly what he was doing when he bit that juicy chicken on a shiny hook.
“Doubt anybody will kick up a fuss.” was probably the last thought that travelled through is mind as that .22 went through his skull. Life is a blessing, but outliving is a curse.

Of course it’s gotta be a photo with that ridiculous sort of forced perspective.
Trying to make the thing’s head/mouth look bigger than the whole of the ole boy on the end.

Holy shite.
I graduated high school with the dude second from the left.
ETA: Just read the article. He was the tag holder of the four pictured. Oddly enough, one of the people who caught the state record back in 2017 was also in my high school graduating class.

I would think this Gator is about 60-70 years old

People should just buy all their meat at the store so no animals get hurt.

Should practice catch and release.

The gator did go out in nature. Humans are part of nature.

Most gigantic catfish are caught and released bc their meat is low quality when they are old and fat. Too bad they killed this big guy.
