I'm hearing they found the body near the St. Mary sugar pits but that hasn't been confirmed by any news sources yet. The search was called off for the day so that sounds likely unfortunately.

Well if they have found Howard, we will be able to lay him to rest with all of the dignity he deserves.

It is being reported that the body has been found, possibly in St.Mary Parish, which starts right at the eastern boundary of Jeanerette.

Really makes you wonder. I bet when that guy was my age he never thought he would be randomly murdered for no reason in his 70's.

I could go for that, medical community could always use living test subjects.

Personally I believe battery acid could be a cure for facial tattoo removal.

Sign him up!!!

Hard to believe that nobody thought to check the garbage cans after finding someone cleaning up blood in the house.

Why do these animals always have crosses tatooed on them?

Are they really trying to promote Christianity while they Murder, Rob and Rape?

If he is a Christian and believes in Heaven, I wonder what his ratioinalization is to think he is going.

Well, you're talking about the Iberia Parish Sheriffs office. They're not exactly the best and brightest out there.

I feel really bad for Mr. Poche's family. Killed in his own home and stuffed in a garbage can. It makes my blood boil.

Lethal injection < "take that rascal out in the swamp put him on his knees and tie him to a stump let the bugs and mosquitos and the alligators do the rest"

That makes no sense. They searched for 3 days and no one checked the trashcan at his own house?

Or maybe some of those "ISIS torturing methods"

Seriously though, daily beatings of this guy for the rest of his life might approach the punishment he deserves. I mean if we're going to fund his incarceration, lets make it a real punishment.

Oh, and I would pay a decent fee to be able to have about 5 minutes of access to that punk with a baseball bat.

This makes me sad as hell.

The man lived 70 years. He was a baby, he had parents and family. He went to school and learned. He had jobs.

He made friends, he had great times and bad times. He has 70 years of memories.

All snuffed out in horrible fashion by animals that have no respect for life.

The world sucks sometimes.

Wow just listened to the Iberia sheriff's press conference. The Jeanerette PD did the initial search of the house. Didn't find anything. Searched the city for 4 days. After the arrest of the guy, the Iberia parish sheriff wanted to do another sweep of the house. That's when they found him in the trash can on his porch. Unbelievable. JPD at its finest
