This thread makes me think so many things...so many of you seem to be from Jeanerette.
And so many care about Mr. Howard. When I first heard about him going missing, this had "crackhead" written all over it because as many have said, Mr. Howard wouldn't hurt a fly.
Oh and for the record, Jeanerette is a complete shithole. Fact.

Sorry I posted and left. I just want to clarify that because this is a close knit community that stories get spread that may not be true and so forth.

Hes related to us and goes to church with my family. I have talked to my family hourly to find out anything about this. If they dont know anything then nobody does, except authorities. Its all confidential right now. Im out of state but my family lives there as stated multiple times. Info is scarce right now.

Don't be surprised if they release her again. They may just arrest her on a small charge and she will bail out. They are still putting the puzzle together and have to get everything done first.

News people found the basket and showed it to LE. It was at an abandoned house. Low and behold, they found the woman that was cleaning up the blood at Mr. Poche's home in the abandoned house. That is why they took her in again.
She obviously knows something. She may not have been involved in killing him but she knows some things.

Agree. I got the feeling these people played the older man, claiming to be so down on their luck and he, having a good heart, wanted to help them. Just so sad.

I'm hearing they found the body near the St. Mary sugar pits but that hasn't been confirmed by any news sources yet. The search was called off for the day so that sounds likely unfortunately.

They are still searching for his body, and there will be a rosary said tonight at the Catholic Church where he served for so many years as an usher.
