The coast guard has been issuing radio broadcasts constantly about a potential person in the water near Baton Rouge so the def think she jumped

Things just don’t add up, car running but parked on top of the inside lane on the MS bridge going East, car not damaged at that point, car then gets rear ended by suv, guy who hits her car calls police, police find her cell phone wallet etc. on the MS bridge there are camera’s but why not reports or anything about the camera’s being viewed and checked, jumping off that bridge is possible, but her killing herself in that way is not very likely due to that’s usually a fear of most people jumping off something from that height. And bridge jumping is not something that happens very often. A staged abduction is more likely. 2 cars one person driving hers, made her unlock her phone set GPS to her aunts, got on top the bridge, jumped out got into get away car. To me that sounds more plausible than hey jumping. If she did jump with the MS river current, she would be to donaldsonville or further, unless caught on something. I believe she is alive, but sadly I believe this was a stage for her abduction

Throw In covid and the increased suicide of teens/young adults that has been talked about.

My heart is so sad for her family.

The cameras don't record.

A lot more jumpers than you think. Suicides are generally not reported by media.

From all the details given, jumper is most likely. Really, really, really sad.

From the BR bridges? I would think that would get reported almost anytime it happened unless they don't want to give people ideas/respect for the family or something.

Hopefully this girl is found alive, this is a tragic story. I'm sure many of you remember the guy that jumped off of the Life Science Building in like 2010, terrible stuff.

Eh, I get it. It kind of shines light on his potential. Parents aren't as likely to spend that kind of money on a piece a shite kid with no future. But you're right too, it still doesn't rule him out. But the poster who knows him personally speaks more to his character in my opinion, than the fact that he graduated from CHS.

This. It’s sounds like she comes from a loving family that is missing their little girl. Something like this would crush our family. I have 8 neices and nephew and it sickens me to think one would be out there floating in the river or missing. The thoughts that must be going through their heads right now are terrible.

My heart hurts for her, it hurts for anyone who thinks their life isn’t worth living
I pray that her family is able to find peace

I would say finding a car still running in the middle of a bridge at 1 am with a cell phone and wallet inside might just tip the cops off that something terrible could have happened. I'm not a detective though

So I know the media makes every effort to not report all of the jumpers. .

A lot of nights I can't sleep and go for drives. I can't even guess at the number of nights I've crossed the top of the bridge and a car is parked with no one around...

Quite a few brand new trucks from plant guys. Some people can't deal with stress or betrayal and it costs them their lives.

Some of us just don't sleep.

I Would say at least 2 a week. More during the summer.

Seriously.

Wow. Horrible

And that would explain why the police weren’t acting like this was anything out of the norm

So you're saying over 100 people a year jump off that bridge?

About half of the people who commit suicide in the greater baton rouge area each year.

Yes.

The same phenomenon occurs with the golden gate Bridge.

Perhaps it's because it's a fixated point in their heads. Who knows.

There was a jumper Tuesday morning who lives by me. Not a peep in the news.
