This is a contrived controversy by racists.
If the kid was white, this would be a drowning. If all the kids were black, this would be a drowning.
And if either of those situations occurred, no one outside Ocean Springs would likely even know about it.
people in today's society watch too many crime shows,
it's all conspiracies, law enforcement lying, people making shite completely up or leaving things open ended...
it's got to be exciting for them...
That's how some people are acting in this thread.

So Tatum said he has significant reason to believe Nolan was using cocaine and was in the water with another girl at some point.
There was likely an argument involved with another person but no evidence of a physical altercation.
Somebody reported to him that they saw both Nolan and the girl struggling in the water.
He knows who provided the cocaine and is turning the name over to the police (assuming they don’t already know).
He thinks Nolan was among one of the last groups to leave the island and “somebody saw something.”
By “somebody saw something” — I believe he could be insinuating somebody saw him go under and not come back up and they didn’t report it because they were all high.
He could be trying to reel back in some of the “Justice for Nolan” crowd but odd way to go about it with the cocaine allegations.

That's at least a plausible explanation. These people instantly blaming his friends that left via boat makes zero sense. It's not even a logical path to start.

If that turns out to be the case, the person who provided the cocaine is screwed.

I have very limited experience with cocaine, and it’s been years since those days. Can someone enlighten me on its effects on an athletic young man of color, with a tall, thin, muscular build? Thanks.

SIAP
But I’m glad to finally see something being done to protect these boys.

He would have drank all the beer and swam back to shore... If it was good.

I agree that this was most likely a drowning. I only said I'm interested in seeing the final autopsy & toxicology results from the state's ME. I trust their work more than Crump's. Additionally, I'm interested for more information regarding when was the last time he was seen, heard from, etc. Not a single time have I engaged with the whole racial narrative one way or another. That's not my thing.
Yet somehow, all of that makes me a Crump supporter

There is only a racial narrative. Without race, you wouldn’t even know about this story.
The idea that you are trying to “solve” it or that it even needs solving is participating in the racial narrative.
The dude drowned. Period. End of story.
