Missile Defense 101: North Korea Could Hit with Little Warning

Can we start the defense at Nevada?

Aren't they having problems just launching rockets consistently?

I am intrigued by NK and their actual capabilities, but IMO, I think some of their capabilities are a little exaggerated bc of where it could reach (Cali).

I have little doubt in my mind that the military has defense capibilities that are beyond our grasp of reasoning. The rail gun that's in the news all of the sudden is actually old news. My dad did a lot of the preliminary test and research back in the early 80s while at Rockwell...

The military/gov leaks out the info it wants. Let's not forget DARPA has been filtered Billions of dollars a year for decades to stay ahead of everyone else.

NK preaches hate for the U.S. Their state run media portrays us as people who want all North Koreans dead. They run all kind of propaganda bullshite to their people about nuking us bc all we want is for them to die.

Of course, it's more complex than that, but that's the TL;DR version.

What's different now? NK has been belligerent for DECADES. Why must we attack right at this very moment?

Because Republicans backed themselves into a corner calling Obama a pussy for not dealing with NK more harshly.

Yes because Obama wasn't unstable at times too, like "if I had a son he would look like Trevon" and all that other BS wasn't completely emotional reactions? Come on.

North Korea is a very long way away from California even for a missile. We'll know they have launched something with tons of time to intercept. I wouldn't doubt we have nukes in a sub close enough that we could nuke half of North Korea before their ICBMs hit California.

Its also one thing to have the technology to be able to do something, its another to manufacture it in a repetitive manner. They aren't able to replicate their missiles to work well enough to fire multiple at a time at the US or South Korea for that matter to actually do anything. Firing 5 missiles with 2 actually hitting their target would do nothing but be a suicide mission for Jong.
