I know I will catch flak from the non-believing crowd, but I have a story to share.

Last week, a boy we will call James (who goes to high school with my little sister) was home with his mother and sister when two armed men broke into his home. James chose to fight off the two men to protect his family, and when it was all said and done, he had received a gunshot wound to the head that left him nearly lifeless.

The men didn't get out of the house with anything, and James was the only one harmed. The boy is a hero.

There was a lot of skepticism from the doctors and people close to the situation that James would even live. He was in a coma for several days and when he came out of it, he was non-responsive on the entire left side of his body. No feeling, no movement, issues breathing... It seemed like a minor miracle that he even came out of the coma.

Fast forward to today, and James has sat up on the side of his bed, opened both eyes, and while unable to speak, he is becoming annoyed by the poking and prodding on BOTH sides of his body that the doctors are doing to gauge his responsiveness.

I just wanted to say to everyone that frequents this board that miracles are real, they do happen, and there is no timetable for them to occur. They occur in the most unexpected of places, and it is by the glory of God and the principles of modern medicine that this hero of a young man has recovered to this level!

Isn't modern medicine incredible? The body as well. Can survive some crazy things.

Hope he makes a full recovery.

If prayer helps people be postive, then I'm all for it.

Yes, but this isn't a miracle. This sort of thing happens more often than you think. It's great news, but not a miracle.

Someone will post, "If God is so great, why did he let the boy get shot in the first place?" so I'll do it now.

And why does he let other innocent children die of horrible things like cancer.

None of it makes sense

"Mysterious ways" or "god's plan" I guess. I'm only guessing here, Bc it seems like a dick move to let a boy get shot of you can prevent it.

Bc he needs more angels. There's a lot of work to be done up there in heaven and angels are the best workers, way more reliable than saints or cherubs. Pediatric cancer makes the best angels.

Yeah, I hate that bullshite.

If he has a plan then it's a very shitty one or he's unnecessarily cruel.
