as a civilian, learn how to defuse situations without deadly force. Change your approach. Stop pretending every situation is life or death when its not. You yell and scream at someone and you think they are going to act in a calmly manner? Especially a black person who you kill & murder far too often?

In many of these types of videos, cops escalate the situation because they're too scared to handle people properly.

Nowhere in my post did I justify excessive force. I said this is not kosher. The cop definitely needs to be charged and punished.
However, if you simply submit during the arrest, 99 times out of 100, absolutely no physical harm will come your way. The one time is still bad and as I said, there are horrible cops out there that have no business wearing a badge. This seems to be one of those cases and he should absolutely be punished.

Cop supporters - “I need to see the whole video and hear all the facts before I make a judgement here”
Also cop supporters - “I think we can definitely go ahead and assumed that the man was resisting arrest and acting like an uncivilized human being, despite no video evidence to show that”
Even if he was resisting, once he’s been restrained it doesn’t give cops the authority to harm him. He’s been restrained, no need for physical violence or harm of any nature at that point.
Sucks that you’re a cop, and capable of doing this same shite. If I could offer advice - Be better at your job or quit and do something else. We, the citizens you are supposed to protect, would be much better off for it
ETA: I work in law enforcement. The need to defend every cops action simply because he is a cop is toxic and imo leads to more distrust of the police/law enforcement than the acts themself. There will be bad cops, people aren’t perfect and there are bad apples in any career field. I think most people can understand that and would be more willing to look past these disgraces if not for the fact that a large segment of law enforcement blindly support each other regardless of how bad the policing is. It’s a lot harder to trust police when they seem to care more about protecting the badge than protecting the population.

Maybe you just worded it to apply to this situation but saying "if you just comply to begin with, you won't be slammed to the ground or put in any physical distress" Implies that any sort of action/nonaction seen as resisting will result in a physical response.
