Not to mention that if I have put my hands on you, its highly likely you've done something to bring me to your location. Usually you acting like a complete jackass. I got better shite to do, like sitting under the shade tree playing on my phone or watching YouTube. And yeah if you can scream that you "cant breath" you are breathing you stupid frick. Act like a civilized human being and it wont require me to thump your stupid arse.

Well I certainly believe you are a cop.

It sucks the guy died, and there are horrible cops out there that should never be given an inkling of authority because they will abuse it. I'm not saying this is the case here, just as a general statement because I haven't watched the video.

But, as others have said, if you just comply to begin with, you won't be slammed to the ground or put in any physical distress other than getting cuffed. You are breaking the law with the knowledge that if you're caught, you will get some bracelets and go to jail. Take the L and fight it in court instead of on the concrete.

ETA: After watching the video, that is pretty ridiculous. Of course, there's no video of the event prior to the cop being on his neck, but still. I hate the procedure of them kneeling on his neck and waiting for another cop to cuff him. He's obviously given up at this point so slap the cuffs on and get him the frick up.

The dichotomy of this board is great

“I keep 10 AR-15s at my house because I will protect myself from the government!!”

-dude gets killed by a badge given to the officer by the government-

“JEEZ ITS NOT THAT HARD TO JUST DO WHATEVER THE POLICE WANT YOU TO DO, DONT RESIST, SUCK HIM OFF IF REQUESTED. IF YOU DIDNT DO NOTHING WRONG YOU WONT BE IN TROUBLE”

A result of too many laws and over regulation. Cut the need for cops by limiting the role of government.

That video was terrible. Cop should be charged with murder. Kneeling on his jugular for minutes after the guy was not moving. Terrible.

An evidence that the same people are holding conflicting statements or did you make this up?

Yeah. Not only did he keep kneeling on his neck after the man made some unnatural gargling sounds, he continued to kneel after the man was unconscious AND after the ambulance had arrived.

There’s a point where he becomes more concerned with losing his position of authority over all the people telling them to get off his neck, instead of worrying about doing his job properly and ensuring he doesn’t murder a guy

It's like he was just 100% committed at that point and didn't want to give in to the bystanders and let up on his brutality. Seemed like his pride was at stake and he was making a point that he was in charge. And he fricking murdered a man to make that point

Look, we realize you are likely fat, stupid, and post selfies of yourself driving to entice the local cashier/CNA female demographic. That doesn’t mean you need to yell at us.

This mindset that any act of non-compliance not matter how small allows for a disproportional physical response is part of the problem.

Minneapolis cops have had a rough few years. Sounds like they may have some training issues

Maybe this guy will just get a nice pension like the one that murdered the guy in the hotel.

Kneeling on the neck to gain compliance of a combative suspect is common practice. The goal isn't to kill him

They did get control, then he left the knee on his neck...and killed him.

What do you think will happen when you put pressure on someone's neck for that long?

Also. Quit resisting arrest. It’s really that simple.
Hey guys, if you resist arrest, cops can literally do anything they want to, and it's cool. That's your logic, give cops all the power!!!!
