Odd, we’ve been told for years now that malls and brick and mortar are dying.

I don't know a thing about all of the Metroplex but I do know NorthPark and Stonebriar aren't going anywhere. Insanely packed.

This is so dumb. Millennials lived at the malls. Not everyone had computers and phones when we were teens.

Your traditional indoor mall layout might be suffering, but the open air deals have become huge. Just pull right up to the store you want.

Brick and Mortar are dying in some areas.
The key places it will stay long term are specified stores. The large retail is dying for sure. But how many people do you see in Apple every time you go?

I never understood the appeal of online shopping. I only buy things online I can’t find in stores but I hate it. Have to worry about shipping and all of that, plus you wonder if the online retailer is even legit
Plus it’s good to know what you are buying before you buy it. I like to see what I am buying in person, hold it if I can, etc and you can’t always do that online

The statistics in the OP are encouraging, but the notion that malls and brick & mortar is/was dying is 100% true. Just look at all the major companies that have gone out of business the last 10 years or so. I live in a mid-upper class neighborhood in Los Angeles, and it’s depressing walking thru my local mall as there are lots of vacancies.
