As a company, I tie their salary directly to their productivity so that half of their pay is salary and the other half is bonuses monthly. This eliminates me worrying about how much time they want off or how hard they want to work. If you work hard you make a lot and if you don't you make a little, just as if it were your own business.

I always laugh at the "how many hours a wee do you work" threads where a bunch of depressed 40-60year olds brag about working 50-70 hours a week.

absolutely

This.

If you're working 2000 hours per year at $25/hr, with 80 hours of paid vacation, would you rather another $.75/hr raise (3%) or another 60 hours of paid vacation (3% of the hours worked)? In a vacuum, I'm taking the vacation.

As someone who gets no PTO and had not taken any time off in 17 months, I give my coworkers who take vacations an enormous amount of shite. I really really fricking need a vacation though.

ETA: I'm speaking from the point of only having 10 days all year which includes sick and personal time :( we do get holidays off and stuff, but still 10 days goes by very quickly.

shite, 15 goes by quickly. I'd be pretty miserable with only 15 days, if I didn't work remotely (I just travel and work from the hotel).

not you, you're perfectly happy with the wagie lifestyle and openly bragging about working as much as possible to achieve it

gl to ya

I don't recall bragging about "working as much as possible." I definitely don't work as much as possible. But I did want to go into a field that paid well. My life's goal isn't to work, but it is to be financially comfortable.

This is what it's all about. We save money and what not so we can buy free time down the road. Sometimes we need to cash in for more free time in the present.

I get 4 paid weeks off a year and work from home monday and friday

Not easy to find a job with these accommodations. I can always negotiate for a raise later even though the salary is very generous.

The frick? I graduated this year and I'll work 300 weeks straight if it meant making 6 figs right now.

Working six years straight without ever taking a vacation just for the sake of making 100k/year?

I don't mean to sound condescending, but I think you're too young to realize what you are saying.
