I've worked harder over the years because of it and stock piled as much cash as possible in preparation of the 'next' economic downturn. That cash has recently been released into the wild at extremely low stock prices. Finally working towards wealth as a W2 employee.
Well that was dumb

Most probably don't have a bunch of cash on hand to actually make real money in the stock market. P

One poll found 52 percent of Americans under the age of 45 have either lost their job, been put on leave, or had their hours dramatically cut as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, compared to 26 percent of people over the age of 45.

Boomers are terrible at leading. Nothing new.

Guess mom will not be getting that $50.00 for rent this month.

12 years ago millennials were in their early 20s. They weren’t bearing the burden of anything.

Millennials could control the government if they would vote. Wish they would.

This was said about gen x and they survived. So will millennials, just a lot more whining thrown in.

Millennials (who lean to the left) wanted the country shutdown because "orange man bad" (protip: it was never really about "saving lives").
Well, enjoy the effects of your wish. You don't have money when the economy is shut down. Guess you should have thought about that.

Not sure that would be a good thing.

Millennials, Lowrey argues, have never really had any economic security, and this pandemic all but guarantees “that they will be the first generation in modern American history to end up poorer than their parents.”
if it saves just one life.

The primary industries with a median age below the total-workforce median age of 42.3 are:
Mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction - 41.8
Wholesale and retail trade - 39.9
Information - 40.7
Leisure and hospitality - 31.9
Very possible that 52% of these industries have been outright laid off, furloughed, or working reduced hours...

Why would they go out and do something when they could just sit there and complain about it instead. Although I don't want to see Bernie president so I thank many of my fellow millennials for exercising their right not to vote.

Every time I read one of these generation threads, I always remember this from Mike and the Mechanics:
"Every generation blames the one before
And all of their frustrations come beating at your door"
20 years from now, kids are going to be blaming everything on millennials

Late boomers and Millinnials have a hell of a lot in common.

I agree but why do millennials skip Gen-X? Is it generally skip 1 generation due to age difference (i.e. not that big of a difference age wise between X and millennials). If that is the case Gen-Z will blame Gen-x and then those just now being born will blame millennials.
