'm just saying I feel pretty confident our generation isn't going to get in massive debt over a housing crisis in something they can't afford at all, or go by outrageous cars. Anything expensive our generation buys, they can usually afford it and it's practical
Disagree. Look at education right now. This generation already has a issue with spending now and not saving money. Obviously every young generation does, so I'm not defending one generation over the other. Just my observations have been that the millennial generation will be defined by social issues and further neglect of financial ones.
Would be ecstatic to be wrong though.

And our generation has been mostly sent off to fight in war longer than either of the world wars. So, whos the greatest now?

We're not even 30. The world is changing get the frick over it. We know how much better your generation is and would like to thank y'all for the seriously screwed up world we will have to live in. Now kindly stfu and continue to cash that social security check.

That's a problem with democracy in general not a generational thing. No one gets elected by solving future problems they get elected by balancing current budgets. Every generation will suffer for the sins of the past one as long as politicians use policy for campaigning instead of governing.
Every generation is terrible and our system of government is shite.

Drop a couple nukes and destroy cultures...then maybe your generation might get some credit.

Just a few rebuttal points:
1. My TV has been telling me since Tuesday that the people under 30 who swept Obama into office (twice) did NOT come out to vote in the midterms. If you have a problem with that, take it up with NBC, CBS, Fox, etc .
2. I am years away from being eligible for Social Security. I am not even factoring it into my retirement plans, because I do not believe it will be there. I generally dislike old peoples' stance on SS, and I plan to send my AARP card back when I turn 50.
3. Millenials are very smart, no doubt. But they don't have any life experience of note, thus they should not continually tell us how smart they are. Idealism is great, but it tends to get replaced by reality over time. I'm worried about whether this generation will know reality when they see it.

Boomers, however, defeated communism and walked on the moon.
First off, no you didn't. That was your preceding generation that did most of that work, although I guess yall get minor credit since I guess some of you were working for the government during that time, but it certainly wasn't any of the power players, and really if you want to get down to the blunt truth of the matter, communism collapsed in on itself more than outsiders.
As for the second one, how fricking dare you claim the moon landing, you cocksucker. The youngest person to have walked on the Moon was born in 1935, 11 years before the first baby boomer was born. My generation has a bigger leg to stand on that we shaped the internet than the Boomers do on walking on the moon. If I am more bitter about anything the Boomers have done, it's with the space program. It's been neutered completely, and it is primarily the Boomers fault mortgaging our future on pointless bullshite rather than reaching out like their ancestors did. It is the immediate gratification, and the thought of something taking decades to achieve was too much work for them, so they have promised things 20 years down the road ever since the 80s, and have only taken more and more of NASA's funds, to the point where our Gen X Commander in Chief has told NASA that their primary objective under his administration should be to get the Arab world involved in space, which is simply ridiculous. I demand an apology for that last crock of shite.

Do you really want to to compare any of the modern wars to WWII when it comes to bloodshed and sacrifice? And I say that as a vet myself. Thankfully we don't know shite about what they had to go through compared to anything we've seen since Vietnam which even it was light compared to WWII.
