If they're histamine-related, try Benadryl & 800 mgs Advil. If they're frequent, try keeping notes/journaling to see if you can determine what may trigger them.

I got them bad when I had West Nile virus years ago. Hurt so bad I wanted to knock myself unconscious.

I get the worst headaches cluster/migraine and the one thing that works is Toradol (Ketorolac) shots.

My Dr gives a script so I can give myself a shot rather than having to go to the ER for one.

They also have a nasal spray but it is super expensive and burns like heck. But it works wonders.

I would take a .5 mg xanax... that helped relax the tension in my head causing my migraines...

that and I got my vision corrected properly... ( it wasn't the right strength and was causing unnecessary eye strain )

Are you sure you don't mean Zomig?

Hard to believe a cholesterol medication would stop a migraine...

Fiorocet changed my life. Helps big time, I get migraines 4-5 times a month. Neurologist prescribed.

Yes, the worst pain I've ever had by far. But I can prevent it if I have Excedrin migraine. I go blurry and then comoletely blind in my left eye for about 30 minutes before the intensity starts, if I take the pills immediately I can stop it or cut it down to like a normal headache level (which sucks arse on a normal day but is pure heaven compared to a migraine).

If I don't catch it soon enough I'm in bed moaning in agony, and vomiting all day long. Except what I'll do is take powerful sedatives and knock myself out

I've had migraines and clusters for 40 yrs.. I would have 4-5 migraines per week. Calcium channel blockers, i.e. Calan or Norvasc(amlodipine) cut my headache frequency way down and lessen the severity when I do get them. Stopped the clusters. Imitrex for escapes. These drugs are a gift from God. I wished I'd found calcium channel blockers 20 yrs before I did. I take 5mg amlodipine once a day. Very clean drug at that dose. I don't notice any ill effects.

Hey Crawlin King Snake. I also have a dissected brain artery ( some of my dr.’s call it a fusiform aneurism). Gabapentin helps me tremendously with my headaches. I take 1200 mg per day,but my understanding is that you can take a lot more if you need tp. Been a life saver for me. Side effects are minimal.

This is a treatment for cluster headaches, not migraines. FYI.

If you go see a doctor, request imitrex or fioricet. Probably will give you both tbh
