WEST MONROE, La. - According to sources close to the investigation, a middle school student is in trouble with the law after under-age pornography is found on his phone.

Two West Ridge Students were in a fight at school last Friday.

After the fight, the cell phones of those near the fight were confiscated.

One student in the fight reportedly had 32 explicit pictures of underage girls on his phone.

Investigators tell us they are continuing to look into the case.

The phone reportedly belonged to a 15-year-old whose name has not yet been released.

The student could soon face charges of second degree battery and 32 counts of possessing child pornography.

There is no word as of yet whether other students are charged in the fight.

Watch it be his girlfriend or some shite.

So lame if they are his age, and happen to be minors.

Glad I grew up riding the first wave of cell phone tech

Should be inadmissible evidence.

That’s what he gets for liking girls his own age. Why can’t he be like every other normal kid and just bone his math teacher.

It’s so absurd if they’re the same age.

There is no common sense in our laws.

Worldstar of course. The first thing that kids do nowadays is pull out their phone and start filming.

The way it's worded it sounds like the kid with the nude pics wasn't even involved in the fight.

Possibly to see if anyone recorded who started the fight. Some schools also have no cell-phone policies, so if a teacher sees you with a phone out, it can be confiscated.

Ahhh. Of course. Would there be legal recourse for confiscating a phone not owned by an individual? I can't imagine many 15 yr olds are paying their phone bill. Especially if you want to charge my kid with 32 counts of 'child porn'

En loco parentis/reasonable suspicion rule.

Schools are not held to the same standard as police in matters regarding student best interest.

Not sure how it would stand up legally (especially with searching the contents of the phone), but at some schools, parents and students sign a contract at the beginning of the year which states that they are aware phones aren't allowed and that they will be confiscated if seen and how or IF you can even get them back.

“Same age” is a very slippery slope. Would you allow him to have pictures of 14 year olds? 13 year olds? 12 year olds?

Do you allow pictures only of those who willingly sent it directly to him or do you also allow those that were shared with him without consent from the young woman?

Does same age mean those who were his age when received? Can an 18 year old possess photos of a 10 year old if he received them when he was ten and kept them?

Common sense would dictate the correct answers to all of those questions.

I admit I didn't read the article, but if he's just 15 or whatever and has multiple pics of other 15 year old girls who are classsmates of his, he's probably destined for greatness as a future player.

The parents are in even deeper shite if they know he has kiddie porn on there and they pay the bill.

Without consent, minors can not be filmed, and the phones can be legally confiscated.

Are they gonna charge all the girls who sent the nudes with distribution of child porn?

Because applying these laws like this is stupid.
