Friend,

You are a man of impeccable taste, so should anyone argue with your view, please refer him to me. I have never seen those shows, but Mother says that Little House on a Prairie was television at its finest.

Jimmy Smits started with L.A. Law, then on to NYPD Blue, then Sons of Anarchy, and is now a lawyer again on a show called Bluff City Law. That's pretty strong.

Not to mention the West Wing

Except he had three. And has had pretty decent guest appearances in 3 others.

Katey Sagal has been on a petty big list of successful shows.

Married With Children
Futurama
8 Simple Rules
Sons Of Anarchy

(Beat me to it.)

Kelsey Grammer had a hell of a run as Frazier Crane for about 2 decades over as many series.

And loved cocaine and playboy bunnies.

Don’t go sleeping on Nolan Ryan in “105 mph to Victory: The Real Life Saga of a HOF Pitcher and His Battle with Low T”.

It was a 4 part mini series on Oxygen back in the late 90’s.

Two were classics. The third didn't make it a full season.

I was going to throw Buddy Ebsen in as a dark horse. Glad to see someone beat me to it.

Have throw in his role as Fess Parker's sidekick in those Disney Daniel Boone movies. (I think those were made for TV's "Wonderful World of Disney")

Also was on the final season of The West Wing.

I just wanted to drop in and say I watched a Bonanza rerun aboot 90 minutes ago. The ones that have been colorized have Little Joe wearing a green jacket and a pinkish pair of pants.

His pimp hand was way too strong to wear pink pants.

Bob Newhart puts them all to shame

He would be my favorite. But he only had two shows. Tom Selleck(Magnum and Blue Bloods) and James Garner(Rockford and Maverick) are a couple more.

Hard to come up with anyone else that had three.

The Bob Newhart show had two separate runs 1961-62 and 1972-78. A total of 169 episodes. Newhart was on from 1982-1990 for a total of 184 episodes. He was also on 33 episodes of "Bob". So you are talking about 386 episodes where he played a character named Bob. That has to be some sort of record, am I right?

You're right. It made it for 33 episodes. I honestly don't even remember it being on tv.
