MEXICO CITY — A video depicting a sprawling military-style convoy of one of Mexico's most powerful drug cartels circulated on social networks on Friday just as President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador visited the group's heartland. In the two-minute clip, members of the fearsome Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) stand in fatigues alongside a seemingly endless procession of armored vehicles. "Only Mencho's people," members of the cartel shout, pumping their fists and flashing their long guns. The cry was a salute to their leader, Nemesio “El Mencho” Oseguera, one of the country's most-wanted drug lords. The video's release coincided with Lopez Obrador's visit to the states of Guanajuato, Jalisco and Colima, some of the cartel's strongholds.

Hydra effect. Chop one head and three more sprout. Best to find one one that will agree to keep the worst of the violence South of the border

To think, that is just their coronavirus task force convoy.

I know it's a cartel and the drug business is booming as always, but just imagine how much all that shite costs. Just the F250s and guns.

Crazy that this is happening in a country on our border and the nightly news doesn’t even mention it.

That cartel would be a Fortune 20 company.

As impressive as that was, I was more impressed that a wshh video was filmed horizontally instead of vertically.

Yep

Realistically, the only way we could really stop the cartels in Mexico would be to take over the damn country. Mexico’s Government and military arent strong enough to stop them or keep them at bay if we assisted temporarily

But then cartels would just move farther South

Yep - CIA sponsored to utilize black market money to cover their OPs

I thought everyone figured this out by now

The proof our own Government is involved is really easy to enunciate: an armed threat so large and close to our border could be blown out of existence in 3 hours

Yet it is ignored completely

The cartel pays a lot of money to our politicians to ensure this doesn’t happen.

Seems to me there’s an opportunity here to bring and end to the looting, monument desecration, property damage and other societal ills.

I realize we can’t just invade Mexico, but using our military to wipe the cartels out sure Would do the trick.
