Broome has been active.
Her big thing is making EBR more diverse. She hired consultants to look at that.
She's trying hard to raise taxes and get a Billion dollar road program that besides the roads which are needed includes a lot of pork which she can use to her political advantage.
She funneled some "loose change" from BRAVE to some of her street prople and got caught.
She's invested heavily in trying to change BRPD attitudes, and she's working on stopping SG.
But she has sat on the sidelines while a couple of big things were going on. She was hiding during the COA debate and also during this Amoroso tragedy.

In the end, liberals always destroy themselves.

If I'm not mistaken, her district is the most racially even, and moderate, in the parish.
It's downtown, mid-city, and LSU areas.
She represented the views and beliefs of her district perfectly

Of course they do. No loyalty. Just a couple of month's ago Silky Slime went off condemning Gary Chambers and this morning Gary Chambers has condemned Tara Wicker.
Eventually, there won't be anyone left except the educated, reasonable people who will be left with cleaning up the mess that people like Gary, with zero skin in the game, have made.

Let's not forget that this guy doesn't live in her district and is now speaking for the people of the district in which he doesn't reside.

If you're successful outside of sports, music, or clothing, you're an Uncle Tom.
It's mind boggling when black leadership complains about not having enough successful blacks outside of those three categories, but they chastise them when they are. I've always contested that these "leaders" shouldn't be leaders at all. They destroy their own society for the sake of money, supposed power, and fame. They serve no benefit to black society

Their "community" is one of pure selfishness and refusal to accept responsibility. It's the reason why they always inevitably fail.

You cast the deciding vote to appoint Denise Armoroso to the council tonight. You did that because some how you think you’re wiser than the dozens of black people who came and passionately spoke against the decision to appoint someone to a seat of power in government simply because they were married to another person.
I watched plenty of the public get their 3 minutes.
I can safely say she is more wise than most of those idiots combined.
Being passionate doesn't make them right, Gary.

Where can I get a Wicker 2020 shirt at

Not sold on it being racially even, at least not more so than Donna Collins-Lewis district from when I last checked a while back. You still have a part of NBR, east end of downtown, and The Bottom.

Ask Denise. I hear she's got a good t shirt guy that could help out

I thought they said Jesus was black, so wouldn't that make Judas likely black too?

I’m not a huge fan of Broome. I especially dislike what she has done to BRPD. However, she did release a statement against the black Democrat protest against Buddy. I think she has been pretty consistent (right or wrong) in staying out of Metro Council business and staying out of their meetings. Kip the GBRMOAT seemed to be present at more meetings or at the very least his CAO was there. I haven’t paid attention enough recently to notice if her CAO attends the meetings or one of her Assistant CAOs

those clown shows tend to do them more harm than good, I wish they'd realize that. It's one thing to be "passionate" and explain your position in a reasonable manner, turning every meeting into a circus makes people just roll their eyes and not take your cause remotely serious

Not to mention there were multitudes more that were not in the room that supported the council's decision. Probably overwhelmingly in district 8 where the seat is held.

I will say Chauna Banks made one good point, as an educator children do not see each other in black or white, they don't understand racism, it is taught.
Many children are being taught racism by the people who spoke last night which will add another generation of division among the people of Baton Rouge. It is broken and needs to be fixed and that starts with people doing the right thing even if it means losing some of your own people like Mrs. Wicker did last night. She showed courage because she knew Banks and Chambers would attack her along with people from.her community but she still stood for the right thing.
