Damn near hurricane in the LP right now. No rain predicted until Wednesday my arse.

The Weather Channel app at 3 pm today said 99% chance of rain at 5 pm and it was just dry and blazing hot. Not a single drop. (Lexington, KY).

All the rain I’ve seen predicted to our area shifted to overnight.

If you look at the radar, this system basically popped into existence from nothing.

Not worth going through school for that, when I can simply read 3 different models and make my own conclusions…that’s all they have been doing for decades.
It’s just now, the technology and models have advanced a bit more and everyone in the world has access to them now, when we didn’t before.
There will be always be variables with models, especially on a zip code or even a more granular level. It’s not the meteorologists being wrong, it’s the models.
However, I do think anyone could become a meteorologist these days, and not sure the pay is that great until you’ve done it for 15-20 years and are in a massive network or elite national person

This is some bullshite, that big arse storm was coming right at me and it’s breaking up. I can smell the rain in the air but it’s still dry AF over here. Not a single drop.
