Funny….first thing I thought is that would be a good way to die! In a fraction of a second you go from four to vaporized!

Tile guy sleeping with a smile on his face tonight.

Seriously underwhelming. I was expecting an explosion of some sort.
That thing barely left a mark on the paving stone.

It clearly shows a guy walking his dog and a meteorite hitting between his legs

How long until the climate Nazis blame this on climate change?

Watch the video again. You can see it fall. It wasn’t a very high velocity. Then look at the damage - very minimal. Getting a hit by this type of meteorite looks pretty survivable.
Even if it results in a head injury that makes any of us who post here a little more retarded, most people won’t notice the difference.

I mean, the video clearly shows it hitting the ground with nobody in sight. I think he means it landed where he WAS standing. The story even says he noticed the mess when he got back to his house.

One in a million? Try one in about as high a number as you can think of.

I think the article I saw said there has only been one confirmed case of someone being struck by a meteor. So of all the billions of people ever on earth, it's happened once.

There could be no more direct message that it was just your time to go.

It’s happened before…
quote:
Ann Elizabeth Fowler Hodges (also known as Mrs. Hodges, Mrs. Hewlett Hodges, and Mrs. Huelitt Hodges;[1] February 2, 1920 – September 10, 1972) was an American woman known for being the first documented individual not only to be struck by a meteorite, but also to live through the encounter.
And it happened right here in Alabama…
quote:
At 12:46 PM (CST)[2] on November 30, 1954,[3] a meteorite fell through the skies of Sylacauga, Alabama. It split into at least three fragments,[4] with one of the fragments falling through a roof and then landing on Hodges, who was napping on her couch.[3] She recalled the meteorite came through her roof around 2:00 PM local time,[2] although the official time the meteorite fell was 12:46 PM.[4] The meteorite left a 3-foot (91 cm) wide hole in the roof of her house,[2] bounced off a radio, and hit her on her upper thigh and hand,[3] giving her a large bruise.

If a meteorite falls to the earth but no one is around to hear it, does it really make a sound? Apparently if there is a doorbell camera around to record it.
