Didn't really change my wife, but she had her ovaries removed when she was 36. That possibly has something to do with it.

My buddy’s wife had early menopause - like mid 40’s. He said once menopause was over, her sex drive went nuts and it was like their first year of marriage again.

So maybe you guys have that to look forward to.

My wife will be going through menopause about the same time our daughter is a teenager.

Knowing that, I bought a cabin deep in the Rocky mountains that's only accessible with a high clearance 4WD and plan to spend a lot of time there when the storm comes.

first thing you do is tell her

"calm down". That helps set the tone.

Mrs Füt (no pics) completely dodged it.

Don’t know how, don’t know why, don’t care.

Tips and tricks welcome.

Buy a fishing or hunting camp and spend most of your time there because being at home w her sucks. No sex, bi-polar mood swings, hot flashes, etc...Not fun.

Find a good hobby. Golf, fishing, reading, building things in workspace/garage. Don't EVER mention what/how she eats. Been going on 7+ years here in our home. Here's to hoping that your experience doesn't have that longevity...

Tell her she’s acting like her mom. The shock of introspection deescalates her immediately.

Mood swings are fairly even, she never was too bitchy on periods and such.

We finally agree on the thermostat temperature.

No sex but she sleeps naked now (no pics).

I have PTSD behind my mom having it while I was growing up. We would have to leave vacations early because she would be an emotional mess. I was afraid to invite friends to the house at times. It was a complete fricking disaster growing up at times. Because of that, I have very little patience for people who are irritable and/or in a bad mood (even if completely justified). I have to stop myself at times and say wait a minute, that's not fair.
