Won’t get much sex but at least you get all the cover in bed while the hot flashes kick in

There should be a warning label on every marriage license.

Hard to get less than none.

A little known fact: the term menopause is of Irish origin, it has been shortened from its earlier “gàirn main ó’paèce” meaning “giving men no peace”.

Two words.
Hormone replacement

I had to go through fake menopause once. My doctor actually used the same medicine to treat his prostate cancer. We would joke about the hot flashes during checkups.
I would walk in the house and tell my husband I'm pissed off at the world and it's not his fault but today I'm in bitch mode for no reason and I can't help it.
Just be kind to your wife. She's going to seem more crazy then normal. She'll know it too, which will make her feel even worse.
Little kind gestures are your friend. Good luck.

This is a good summation. Has not been a great development for sure.

Basically, they should come with a standby zoo personnel with a BB gun and when they start to act like a dumb arse, they get popped with a bb

Been going on for about five years at our house with no relief in sight. The hot flashes, the mood swings, yep, all of it.
At least I have a river full of trout in north Georgia, a vise to tie flies, and a nice fly rod and drift boat. I've gotten really good at tying up flies over the past few years now. I just hope this resolves sometime soon.

If only it were that easy. But it's not and it's frustrating for everyone.

I was coming to say, go fishing. For a while.
Reality…crazy gets crazier. Hormone shots helped with mood swings and sex frequency. They just get you back to zero. No magical improvements.
Just like I am sure you did before she went off the deep end….pick your battles.

Not too bad (hardly noticeable, really). My wife has always been pretty rational and even-keeled. The few times the emotionality has come into it, she's realized it either during or shortly after and apologized.

Have at least another decade before having to deal with it.
