Any other day this thread would be the front runner for “boomer arse thread of the day” but the guy who is fantasizing about imprisoning homeless people for stealing buggies has set the bar pretty high

High divorce rate has caused alot of this. All of these married couples over the years who quit which causes children to be raised in a quitting environment.

In my experience people who talk about how hard they work are typically covering for being lazy and ineffectual.

Yeah no. They’re not great but not nearly as bad as the men who are dead beat dads.

Is it “literally” in our DNA? I would think the opposite is in our DNA, to follow others. It takes programming to lead and provide. Why do you think our society collapsed so fast? If providing was innate, we wouldn’t see the entitled shite we see today.

Haven’t even been here a year and I’ve already deduced that you’re just about the biggest fibber on here.

Just ‘working hard’ is dumb.

The goal should be to accumulate the most money possible while doing the least amount of work possible.

Once upon a time if you didn't do, you didn't eat, then it changed to someone else will do it for you. They're happily coasting because they can.

. ie: Daddies use to make sure you knew and that you helped out in some manner. Even if it was just having chores.

A young guy who doesn’t provide must have an alcohol or drug problem. The only explanation

And they do it bc the same women complaining are the ones who degrade masculinity and anything men do. Young guys dont want to deal with these stupid woke whores.

That was my initial thought. Easy thing to say for a boomer who probably had good job out of high school and could raise a family on it.

Tell this guy to provide for his family. He can't even start.

dated, boomer mindset

If you aren’t leaving your kids something significant when you die (or before), you have failed. If you aren’t able to put them in a good school and live in a decent neighborhood, you have failed.

I find Boomers and Millennials to be cut from the same cloth. Y'all got a lot more in common than you think.

This is only half true.

My parents were great people at heart and worked hard to ensure we were fed, clothed and educated. I will always be thankful for that.

However, they fell short of actually teaching me anything about life. My dad worked hard to be a great provider, but teaching me how to be a man, physically, emotionally and mentally...I got none of it. Maybe years down the line we would have gotten to that point, but he passed in 2011 when I was 26.

My mother was the same. Excellent provider and homemaker. Did absolutely nothing for me on every other front.

Not completely their fault as their parents did the same to them, but at some point as a parent, I would imagine you have to adapt...which the boomer generation is absolutey TERRIBLE at.
