Greenville pastor John Gray appears to have gifted his wife a $200,000 Lamborghini sports utility vehicle for their eighth anniversary.

In an Instagram video taken at the celebration, Gray leads his wife to a bow-wrapped car and hands her the keys while saying "Lamborghini Urus."

Gray, who leads Relentless Church in Greenville, acknowledged on social media that he bought his wife a car for their anniversary and responded to criticism of the purchase.

"God helped me to make my wife's dream come true," he wrote in an Instagram post Tuesday night. "Why not? She's made mine come true!"

The fact that so many people buy into what Megachurches are selling and continue to tithe to them is a serious indictment on our society.

There are a lot of stupid, easily manipulated people in this country. Pretty damn sad tbh.

For those that follow Dave Ramsey, are you all ok with his position on tithing?

The ONE thing the Catholic church gets right is the vow of poverty for the priests.

Paying these shysters for what? Good vibes? Hell, weed & shrooms are much cheaper.

1. Be charismatic

2. Have no shame

3. Convince dumb people god wants them to give you money

4.???

5. Lambo

People give money to these churches knowing what they do and how extravagant they live. I don't feel sorry for the donors and I don't begrudge the pastor.

All parties know what is going on and apparently don't care.

Bingo.

Here's something to believe in and support: yourself.

I'm not saying that these guys have to live a life of poverty. However, they shouldn't benefit from tax-exemption for running what are essentially giant self-help groups with "church" in the name.

I was at church not that long ago and a guest pastor spoke. He broke down what tithing is and how it is supposed to work. I wanted to burn that motherfricker down.

Because you manipulated people into giving you their money on the false pretense it would be used to support the church and spread the gospel. And instead you bought a cliche symbol of of the very materialism Jesus preached to disavow.

I'm not religious, but if I was a devout Christian, I would absolutely loathe these places. They give a bad name to the entire religion.

Joel Osteen is just trying to get by as he carries out God's work.
