Do you know how many of his dumbass books he sells? Hes a scum bag for sure, but hes likely getting most if not all of his big dough from his book sales.

Both.

Lots of overlap with megachurch attendees and the current poll results.

Agreed and this is coming from someone who grew up in a big baptist church.

Wow. People should stop attending. This guy is purely in it for the money. Classic snake oil salesman turned pastor. Been around for ages though so nothing new. Just crazy how they flaunt it.

definitely need to be careful with the church you go to. Your "money will be damned" if you dont tithe to them is a bad sign.

Sad.

Maybe I am dumb but I don't understand what this means.

Yeah, I think Osteen is a human waste.

But he is rich from his books way moreso than tithing. However, he does apparently pimp his books during his sermons, which I find hilarious.

And I agree that I normally wouldn't care about megachurches getting millions of dollars from idiots, but they are tax exempt and that is bullshite IMO.

I find it pretty repulsive for pastors to get rich off of the people of their church. Would anyone here feel different if a pastor is rich because they write and sell a ton of books but don't take a salary from their church?

If his books are just an extension of his church, then my feelings don't change.

I think if a pastor is rich, then he is a hypocrite. They should donate 99% of their excess wealth.

What would Jesus think about Joel Osteen's house and car collection?

Preacher man talking on TV
Putting down the rock n roll
Wants me to send a donation
Cause he's worried about my soul

He said Jesus walked on the water
And I know that is true
But sometimes I think that preacher man
Would like to do a little walking too

I think these people are truly atheists bc if they believed in a Hell, they know they’d be going straight to it.

Yeah seems like this Gray guy learned it from Osteen.

Osteen has always come off as that swarmy type to me.
