What did the study say about people who use it, because it makes them feel a little bit better during their limited time on planet earth?

In my experience, those folks are well adjusted normal people. It’s the people who claim that medical marijuana cures everything and anything that requires a prescription is the devil in a pill from “big pharma” who usually have issues.

I’d call it people who would have those same problems with or without weed
About every other week there is a thread started here by someone that wants to know what they can do to pass a drug test after smoking pot. If they can’t stop using weed long enough to get a new job, or keep the job they have, that is a serious problem they would not have if they didn’t use weed.

Sativa makes a lot of people more nervous and anxious.

Case closed. frick beta blockers, statins, insulin, metformin, and other drugs. All we need is natural things like marijuana, arsenic, and mercury to cure all of our ailments.

This is the only legit reason, and it's good enough.
its not a health benefit for most people, its to get high. There's nothing wrong with that.

One of the biggest alterations currently is the strength of weed.
It has become increasingly more powerful over the past decade even.
I figure someone has looked into it, but I wonder if stronger strains equal more addictive properties/characteristics.

And while marijuana has been shown to help ease pain and a few other health problems, two-thirds of U.S. states have decided pot should be legal to treat many other conditions with little scientific backing.
This is because proponents in those states wanted recreational marijuana but had to settle for "medical" marijuana.

that wasn’t the question alcoholics also have job performance issues, but they don’t get fired on the spot after a positive test. tell me Ric, what’s the difference?
The world isn’t always fair,, but we all have to play by the rules as they are now, not what we wish they were. if someone can’t stop smoking weed to get a job, or keep the job they have, that is a problem directly caused by smoking weed.

Imagine being so out of touch with reality that you're telling a group of people, who've been using marijuana illegally for ~9 decades, they have to play by the rules. While also ignoring we've got the rules changed time after time, after time... via voter supported amendments.

Sounds like that is a problem created by the government, not marijuana. The type of government related problem that can be traced back as far as the funder of this study's roots.

why do these threads always devolve into work drug test talk?

There’s a few studies out there that indicate higher levels of THC can trigger psychosis. The issue is determining whether it’s exasperating underlying psychosis or triggering new psychosis, which can be difficult to determine.

The higher strain ones can sometimes give me crippling anxiety. I haven’t looked if it is one’s with lower CBD and higher THC, but man some of those strains are strong . I generally prefer being able to function while high. Lower THC indices are perfect for that.

So until laws catch up with what is already accepted by society people should just pass up what could be life changing employment opportunities for them, and their family so they can continue to get high? That’s a solid plan for getting ahead in life.

To quote our 3rd president, and main author of the declaration of independence "If a law is unjust, a man is not only right to disobey it, he is obligated to do so."

I’m well aware of the fact marijuana isn’t technically addictive. But I will make one observation, at least insofar as the OT is concerned. Anytime anything remotely negative about marijuana is mentioned on here a lot of people react to it as you’d expect a Muslim to react to someone insulting Allah.

Which is also misinformation.
It is addictive, just not as badly as other real drugs.

It's not like our government has taken our money and used it to fight a woefully misguided war against us. I wonder why people are resistant to furthering that agenda

People should should just send that quote to their mortgage company when they can’t make the payment because they lost their job due to a failed drug test. I’m sure they will say no problem it’s your god given right to get high.
