Correct and it’s really bad heat wise about three months of the year, the rest is great.

I was in Vegas last weekend and it was 114. There is no escaping that heat. The pool definitely helps but it’s impossible unless you are indoors to not feel over heated.

It’s hot.

In the desert.

In the summer.

Who would have ever guessed?

Breaking news: People who move to the desert surprised at high temperatures. Live at 11.
I was in the desert of Arizona a few weeks ago and I figured our why it didn't rain.

There were no clouds.

Was there once when outside temp was 120. In a convertible! Ended up raising the top. Although it's a dry heat, you understand how a piece of bacon feels. It's like the sun is really close to your head.

Bismarck, ND hit 102° the other day. They can keep that heat as long as they want.

temperatures are always taken in the shade rather than in direct sunlight. if it hits 120 in las vegas or phoenix this week, it will be 120 in the shade.

Hottest I've experienced was 108 in Central Sacramento Valley. It was hot regardless. Yes, it felt better in whatever shade we could find, but it's also cooler here in the shade.

It's fricking hot all over the west. BIL lives in Grand Junction and it's been hitting the 100s easy over there. Getting into the 80s in some very high terrain in CO. Salt Lake City hit their earliest 100 on record this week. The whole Great Basin is roasting.

Huge ridge to make an already serious drought just that much worse.

Yep. Grand Junction was forecast to be in the 100s today. Played golf at Rifle Creek and In Meeker Thursday- Saturday. Can attest it was hot.

Not Vegas hot. But hot enough. Trappers Lake was nice and cool though. All you have to do is drive up to 9000’.

And we have that late season atmospheric river in the Pacific Northwest just pumping moisture into the area and teasing everyone out there.

One sliver of hope is the signs of a much more active Eastern Pacific hurricane season. We just need something to turn and make a run North.

Next thing you know they’ll be naming the “heat waves” like they do the winter storms now.
