Investigators are looking for the person or people who scrawled graffiti on the side of a San Bernardino County rescue helicopter at the Hesperia Airport, causing thousands of dollars worth of damage.
The vandalism was first reported just after 5:20 a.m. at the airport in the 7000 block of Summit Valley Road, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department officials.
"The suspect(s) defaced the helicopter with graffiti," according to department spokeswoman Gloria Huerta. "The damages were estimated at several thousand dollars.
Photos of the damage showed both sides of the Mercy Air helicopter covered with spray-painted letters, including the aircraft's side windows.
The investigation was ongoing, and no suspect description was available Sunday evening.

Arnold Swarzenegger voice: WE MUST GET THE GRAFFITI OFF THE CHOPPER AND FIND WHO DID THIS!!!

Since grafiti tags are meant to be recognizable, it should not be much of a problem to figure out who did this…criminals aren’t typically known for intelligence.

A fictional character and his sidekick created by Hanna-Barbera have some comments regarding those responsible for the graffiti

Seems like that would be a lot more than a few thousand dollars to fix

So random people are just wandering around airports?

I don't know what I was expecting to see after the article--a few crude spray paint streaks, maybe--but it wasn't all that. That's some GTA: San Andreas shite right there.

If only they were truants, they'd be sitting in jail with their parents by now.

The kids these days don't even know the difference between helicopters and trains.

there are people who will argue until they pass out that graffiti is art

That's also a federal rap.

San Bernardino is an absolute shithole. They have a way higher homicide/robbery rate than LA or San Francisco

Unless there's one at that airport, just getting it to an FAA certified repair facility with paint capability is going be a few thousand. It's not air worthy in that condition.

If that's enamel spray paint, they're in for a much bigger surprise.

I bet their dads are all disappointed.

How did they get access to the helicopter and stay there long enough to do that without being noticed?
