McGill is a premier university in Canada, it is a top 2 or 3 school in Canada and likely a top 20 school in N America depending on the program. I don’t know how strong the geography dept is and I couldn’t make any alternative suggestions for Geography depts in Canada, its not my area. Overall, its a world class university in a world class city, its likely a very good choice, she will have a good time there and get a good education. Its cold and snowy in MTL so she will have to contend w/ that.

I wanted to go there, but they didn't accept my dumbass. Worked out for the better, but it's a great school.

Probably one of the 20 or 25 best universities in the world.

It's a top tier school and a super nice campus right in the middle of Montreal, which is a fantastic and fun city. Only downside is that it's cold as shite half of the year.

The grads that I have hired from McGill have always been top notch. It has been worth all of the effort it takes to get them work visas.

McGill is excellent. Good for her. No idea what the geology program is like, though.

As far as I know, it's the only college in all of Canada.

Fantasic campus, and right next to downtown. I spent a couple months there in the spring and early summer helping with some research (mid 00's) and had the time of my life.
