I read an article (no link) that the high fructose corn syrup in soft drinks blocks the leptin (hormone that makes you feel full) receptors and people that drink these soft drinks consume an average of 150 more calories per meal. That is in addition to the extra calories from the soft drinks.

The orange drink was used to neutralize the fry boil that did the actual cleaning. Which incidentally should have never been used on the grill. Pretty sure it was a strong base, maybe potassium hydroxide. The acidity in the orange drink neutralized it. Allegedly.

It would be easier if McDonald’s joined the rest of the fast food world by getting the Coke Freestyle Machine.
Some of them do have them. One time I thought they had Coke Zero because it was listed in the app, but they didn’t have it at the location I ordered from.
