I worked at McDs when they switched the pies back in the late 80s early 90s. Fried pies rocked but you could burn your tongue if you ate one too soon out of the grease. The new pies were baked.

Not a big fan of apple so I took the apple chunks out and left just a little sauce. The crust was what I really liked about it.

Probably about 3 times what the apple pies used to cost, even after adjusting for inflation.

Worked at McDs back in the late 80s. If a MFer got smart arse on the drive thru and ordered a pie, I got them one right out of the grease. Hot as lava.

Guess I'm going to have to burn the roof of my mouth off for old times sake.

McDonalds had some pretty amazing Apple Muffins back in the day too.

They also had this grilled chicken wrap deal that was on a flatbread before it seemed that flatbread really was a thing. I remember it had whole chunks of tomatoes on it and some type of creamy sauce, probably circa 1997-98.

It's been so long since I've eaten at a McDonald's I didn't even know they took them off their menu.
