There were a couple streams that had code flash on the screen. Could spell big trouble for the individuals that broadcast it

I don't think stealing a $100 item is really worth ignoring my sense of right and wrong.

- i didn't care about watching the fight

Just the viewership from those two streams alone could cost the event more than $70.6 million.

This is a highly inaccurate statement - most of the people watching pirated streams wouldn't have paid to watch the fight had a pirated stream been unavailable.

I was one of them. My stream was crystal clear with zero lag.

Mine was average, slight lag. Where do you stream at?

I would barely consider paying $100 for an actual ticket to the event much less than for tv.

I don't use facebook or twitter. I have streamed things with acestream ids I got off reddit. How do you watch something on facebook? Just search the event by name and all the relevant streams pop up?

Redneck nephew/niece streamed the entire fight on FB. I was watching from a paid site and checked their feed occasionally to see that it was still up. Hmmmmmmm.....

100 was too much for that bullshite
Agreed. If I could have picked it up for $29.95 then sure. I bet millions more would have, too.

Most of those people weren't going to pay for it or watch it anyway. If anything it helped both sports because people might get interested in boxing or MMA.

Ahoy matey!

I sure as hell stole it. Saving my money for the real fight in a couple of weeks.

Not only that, but pirates don't cost anything.

Stealing removes the original item.

I paid like $8. We had 12 guys over for fantasy football draft before.

Great day.

NOW, that its such a huge issue, its going to be hard to get people to go from $0 to $30 when they could have gone from $60 to $30 five years ago BUT chose not to

Exactly. And PPV Prices are out of control. We used to get 4-5 wrestling PPV's every year. It was $30 a pop. Get 8-10 teenagers to show up with $5 and my parents got the event and cooked for everyone. No big deal. But $100 for something is insane. Had they lowered the price to $50, more people would have bought it, and made even more money. Same thing with cable. I got tired of paying an intro rate for 12 months, then on top of that paying an extra $7 for each box, and extra for HD/On Demand/etc. Now I just stream Netflix and prime stuff for the kids and watch broadcast for sports or use a login for ESPN. Considering Sling for this football season just to get a few extra channels as well.

Seems like blatant stealing to me. They have a product. You are not paying for it. Guess if someone where to deliver "free" Lambos across the street from a dealership you all would hop in and never ask a question?

This is their livelihood. What do you do for a living? And, if someone were able to steal that service or your product from you and give it away to the public, would you mind?

I watched on Periscope just because it was available. I wouldn't have watched it otherwise much less paid to watch it.

Sorry, Judge. I only stole because it was available. Otherwise, I never would have stolen anything. I know the keys to the F-150/Tundra were in the ignition, so I hopped in. Otherwise, I never would have bought a F-150/Tundra, so there is no need to punish me!

Yeah, but would any person pay $100 to watch you get your arse kicked? Guessing not.
