Just went to Rouses off Burbank and they were handing out Masks at the door, couldn’t enter without it. A whole bunch of baws are about to throw a hissy fit.

Under this order would I have to wear a mask if I went for a run in the neighborhood or took the dog on a walk?

If you asked JBE, he’s say YES. Never forget he told us at the beginning (when they told us we should start wearing masks after they told us not to wear masks) that you should be wearing them anytime you’re in public, even when you’re outside. He just doesn’t push that one anymore (for now).

I’ll wear one on private property if I want to go there. But I’m not walking around wearing one.

No one is expecting you to wear it all day, just went you enter areas or businesses where people are in close proximity to one another.

I don’t get why people care so much. It’s such a nonissue to put the mask on for 15 minutes while shopping

The ineptitude of Democrats. And this is who so many here are willing to obey. This order is trash and unenforceable.

I don’t get why so people are willing to give away your basic personal freedoms because Karen is mad. If you’re scared, stay home. It’s that easy.

Did she say if she expects this to apply to small children?

Apparently we outnumber even the mayors office. Her dumbass just created this mandate out of thin air with no discussion with anyone. And you are going to follow it?

I don’t get why so people are willing to give away your basic personal freedoms because Karen is mad. If you’re scared, stay home. It’s that easy.

First and foremost, I care about the economy. Two things have to happen in order for the economy to fully recover:
1. Stay at home orders need to be lifted.
2. People need to be buying goods and services at pre-COVID levels.

Starting with #1 - regardless of what anyone may say, stay at home orders ultimately hinge on the political will to uphold them. More scared people = more political will to extend lockdowns. While you obviously don’t see value in masks, it’s clear that a significant portion of the population does. Like it or not, those people have a political voice too. And many folks (myself included) would rather pander to the maskers in an effort to get the economy back up and running than pander to the anti-maskers in an effort to eliminate any inconvenience to BugAC.

In reference to #2 - even if the stay at home orders are fully lifted, we won’t see the economy fully rebound until everyone returns to full participation. If 40% of the country is still afraid to go to the movies or go to the mall, that’s a huge impact. So your comment “if you’re scared, stay home” is a bit short sighted when you look at the big picture.

It’s clear that many companies in the private sector believe this to be the case. Whether they require customers to wear masks or not, I haven’t seen many stores that do not at least require their employees to wear them. Why is that? Because it makes customers feel safer, which results in more business. Or at least that’s what the people running these businesses believe.

Exactly. If all it takes is a mask, why the hell did we shutdown in the first place? Are we just going to ignore that?
