If half of you peons read even a fraction of the available research on common face masks and respirators you wouldn't be sure of the effectiveness. The military has been studying this topic for years due to threats of biological agents used against population centers, everything from military-grade stuff to testing materials suitable to make hasty, improvised face masks. One of the best commonly available materials they found? Microfiber towels, can reach about 75% the effectiveness of N95 if you use a few layers. But that's just testing the material in a lab setting and not in the form of masks fitted to human faces, in the real world all of these numbers plummet because even small gaps will provide the vast majority of air passage to/from the nose and mouth.

Can’t wait for BRPD and Sheriffs office to not do shite about this and defy that idiot running the parish. While I hope everyone does a good job of keeping distance, clean, wear masks, it’s absolutely ludicrous to make it punishable by law to not wear a mask. What a waste of LE time.
