I for one have heard nothing but terrible remarks regarding the management of the GP site. Basically, if you work there it means you weren't really good enough to work at other places

On second thought, he seems perfectly suited for gov't work...

Even if he was a rockstar at GP,

An arrogant "hatchet man" who replaced a good dude who retired rather than layoff/run off many old friends and good employees in general.

Dude drives up to a 'struggling' papermill in a SL 500. Immediately buys a $650k house in Denham, then starts calling mandatory town hall meetings at the mill, telling salary folks they won't be there in a year if they ain't on board with the new philosophy. Bad Form is an understatement.

He came in like Joe Clark or some shite but it backfired quickly. These weren't kids nor Eastside High school. Nor is Baton Rouge the same situation as a small mill in the middle of nowhere Alabama. This mill is <50 miles from a shite ton of chem plants and refineries.
They admittedly did NOT expect a TON(over 125 in 15 months actually) of experienced engineers and ops professionals to hit the door before any layoffs. Basically professionals with options or close to retirement said "frick YOU!".

Actually, it seems like paper isn't his strong suit.

MM, his A-1 bootlicker, must be reading these posts and downvoting us.

Your statement about management applies only since about 09. Koch took over ~07 but didn't really start tinkering with their tactical insertions the first couple of years.

The comments on the WAFB Facebook post say he’s a moron who sucks at his job so it sounds like the perfect Broome hire

Dude is an absolute JOKE of a leader and simply did what the suits in the ATL(GP HQ) and Wichita(KOCH HQ) told him to. His biggest quality was lack of empathy and complete arrogance/indifference to employee loyalty.

For people that actually believe black people can't be racist, they have never read the Advocate/WAFB/WBRZ's comment sections.

He's black. The only qualification necessary to Broome.

frick Him.

frick the Kochs.

frick their MBM principle bullshite. If they worried about their product quality instead maintaining a cult-like culture of bootlickers, they wouldn't be closing mills and blaming markets. The Koch Cocks have no business owning paper mills. Bottomline.
Yea, but how do you really feel?

I was not one of them people who hated on him from the get-go.
But I saw every departure cross my desk. And when I started to see real 'head scratchers' every week like
husband/wife engineers who had every intention of retiring from there both gone in 15 months.

The most senior engineer in the mill with 35 years there just up and retired with zero knowledge transfer.

EVERY SINGLE ELE who started before he came on, left at or starting looking for a new job day 1 after they were vested in 401k.

EVERY Ops manager when he came in, GONE.

They promoted younger and dumber and
By 2016 turned to hiring ex-military guys with supervisory experience but ZERO manufacturing experience to come in and 'run crews like a platoon'(their words).

I had also heard about the arrogant guy they brought in that did nothing but ham handedly piss everyone off. It's classic that he ends up staying here at a Govmt. position.
