That looks a Calc 1 problem. Not too hard to solve.

This might involve some mess with the concept of infinity
Infinity / 2 is still infinity.
Therefore, you can never get back down to one.

So if it’s a riddle, someone created it with an “answer” in mind... right?
Mathematic riddles are not like typical word/language riddles where, if given the right explanation, a person could say the answer is “a donkey” (or obviously whatever)
It’s not like you can ask a mathematical riddle and be like, “Hahaha, you dummy! 1 is actually 7!”
How is it possible that the “riddle” has remained unsolved for 82 fricking years?
I smell bullshite.

Name a subject in advanced math, and he’s written about it.
Has he written the solution to the Collatz Conjecture?
Didn’t think so.
Fraud.

The rule is this: If the number is even, then divide it by 2, and if the number is odd, then multiply by 3 and add 1.
Isn't this the same rule for the amount of secks partners a man (vag/2) and woman (peni×3+1) has had?

There are no counter examples, for frick’s sake.

22 - 11 - 34 - 17 - 52 - 26 - 13 - 40 - 20 - 10....which was the example given earlier and leads to 1.
Any power of 2 takes you back to 2^0.
If n is odd 3n + 1 is even.

There are no KNOWN counter examples. It's a subtle distinction, but I'm confident that if the OT can understand PEMDAS, it can understand this.
