SSSHHHHH. They want to feel "safe".

A lot of people had knee jerk reactions (rightfully so) after 9/11 and that's how we got the Patriot Act. We gave up a lot of freedoms and privacy out of fear.

The only safe place for it is liveleaks IMO.
And damn the guy who created it was calm as shite. I have no clue how he was that calm.

Like I said, it's looking like he didn't even use the bump stock but rather illegally altered the lowers to make them fully auto.
Illegally being the keyword. Again, criminals will find a way.

Fun fact... TSA hasn't caught any terrorist. Meanwhile, hundreds of them have been arrested for stealing.
Feel safe?

Can u please explain it was deleted before I could watch it
It was a guy going to each other them, to see if they were alive. Closeups of their faces. Checking for pulses. Moving shirts to see wounds.
One girl says she's hit in the head. Films himself feeling the back of her head. When he feels the sound in the back of her head he says, "oh.my.god." There's a pool of blood coming out of her head. She was talking but looked HORRIBLE. Looked like her tongue was either bulging out of her mouth or pushing blood out of it. He screamed for an EMT for her and left her.
One guy was squared up in the chest.
MASSIVE pools of blood around people.
He was going from person to person to see who was dead or who needed an EMT. There weren't enough EMTs either. He was screaming for them.
Then a police officer says, "what are you doing, everyone on this side is dead." That was clearly wrong and pretty irresponsible of him. The guy videoing yelled at the officer.
The mixture of gore and seeing that close up how helpless the situation was...was horrific.
I instantly broke out in a sweat.

He strikes me as military because he lacks medical knowledge...checking pulse incorrectly and a few other details, but at least he was doing something....he was being more effective than anyone else there....As far as squeamishness about the video...unfortunately, that's just reality....it's hard for folks to process it that have never seen it before...that's what it's like unfortunately....Horrible situation for anyone to face...

It won't. You can make your own just like you can make your own supressor using an oil filter. If someone is determined they will find a way. This guy modified his lowers on his weapons to achieve fully auto. He wasn't going to be stopped.

I get this argument for items that have legitimate uses for gun enthusiasts, like a suppressor, but I don't think it applies to something like a bump stock.
Will banning it stop anything? Maybe, who knows, but I don't see where it infringes on any rights either.
You can make a bomb from lots of things, but it doesn't mean ammonium nitrate should be available in unlimited amounts on the shelf at Walmart.

I'd argue if Pulse shooter had added a bumpstock (don't remember his weapon of choice) or had the wherewithal to make his own, he could have caused even more damage. He probably didn't know such an attachment existed. Now anyone out there considering something like this knows they can buy this attachment, so ban the damn thing and if they want to go that route, well, that's their prerogative I guess. But we shouldn't make it easy on them.
I of course agree with you that it won't prevent mass murders. That's a larger and more complex issue. This has more to do with limiting their capability from a legal standpoint.

Sure. But I can buy a pressure cooker.

I'm sure you can 3D print one of these things quite easily.

Yeah, most likely.

Pretty sad video. Can't get over the young woman toward the beginning of the video staring lifelessly into the sky. Her eyes were open and when he felt for a pulse at her neck, blood oozed out from her mouth. He realized she was dead and moved on.
So tragic.
So tragic.

Well they can find a way. But gun manufacturers need not make it easier for them to obtain one.
I don't think just because it's easy to make a bomb, even with simple household items, it should mean that we should begin manufacturing bombs and selling them.
