Again, I just wanted to see some of it. I have quite a collection and don't have nearly that much money invested. So far I've seen two of the supposed 23 weapons in the hotel, I'm just skeptical of some of the "facts" and trying to figure out what to believe.
One of the guns was a DD AR. If the glass he had on it was mid-range in price, you're looking at over $2k just for that rifle alone.

Just read that article. So he had an arsenal in his home as well, to go along with bomb making materials such as ammonium nitrate. And the girlfriend had no idea??

How on earth is there not more pictures of this guy?

would any have been concerned if he started acquiring tons of ARs in a short period?
Seems like this should of tripped the FBI / NSA wire.

Slidefire stock $200-300, Eotech $600+... all the accessories start adding up quick. Then multiply that by 40 or more weapons.

I'm asking seriously, why does it even matter? The weapon was clearly fired in an automatic manner. The results were the same, no?

They said he didn't. Said he bought a shotgun. Said they have code words they use to tell each other if someone is sketchy, and they'll deny a purchase. For all intents and purposes, he seemed perfectly normal as per them.
I'm not sure if ATF will flag you with a bunch of purchases in a short amount of time. Carson may know more about that

You can hear the shots coming our pretty darn quickly, so yea, I don't really get the fervor to debate that as much as others have.

It matters when the terms are used purposefully or ignorantly to influence politics.

There are regularly weird Mo Fo's in gun stores. I'm talking about people that spend a ton of time gaming and online, and have really no real world experience with weapons like hunting or military. Hell there's some crazy military especially army guys.
So my point is two fold here, one is that you'd have to be very very weird to throw a gun store clerk off IMO. Secondly, unless these gun store people are complete idiots they aren't going to come out and say they thought this guy was weird but still sold to him. That would be potentially a huge liability for them.

They're still talking about this Marilou chick like maybe they'll talk to her if she's kind enough to maaaaaybe come back.
How the shite is getting her arse not priority #1?
Makes me think they're getting many of the questions answered without her.
ETA - I'm sure they'll talk to her more, but I'd imagine their investigation is going in a different direction for now.

I definitely understand this. But in terms of destruction, you can obviously get Full Auto results with SA.

Who cares if the gun was fully automatic by design, modified to be fully automatic, or modified to simulate fully automatic? The end results wouldn't have changed much and it's mere semantics.
If you want to have a debate on how he bought "fully automatic" weapons, then sure. I honestly had no idea what a "bump stock" was before this event and reading this thread. It's astounding that most of the media hasn't picked up on this yet, and the mainstream media seems to have no idea how easy it can be to modify these weapons to simulate "fully automatic."
I didn't see a ton of dudes saying that all these weapons were SAW. Maybe there were, but I didn't notice. Given how inherently difficult it is to get a SAW, and how easy it is to acquire a bump fire stock, it makes a lot more sense that someone would just modify his guns then trying to get a bunch of SAWs and raising red flags.

I keep bringing this up, and maybe I'm just paranoid, but why haven't more details about his "substantial property investments" been released? I figure it would be easy to find a paper trail for a supposed multi-millionaire property investor.
Posted on 10/3/17 at 10:22 am to RATeamWannabe
I had to explain it to my mom yesterday, because she's been hearing nothing but fully automatic on every news station all day. It's technically the same as if someone stood there and pulled the trigger many times

For those of us who are only familiar with hunting rifles/guns, can you enlighten us on the error here?

I disagree. Yeah I understand guys not having personal accounts at his age. But for a gun to be that active with guns and gambling, there's something off with there not being more pictures of him online on OTHER people's accounts. If you win $100k at a casino, you are usually showing up on social media in some manner.
IMO he either was trying extremely hard to stay hidden, or the police are shutting things down with a quickness for a reason.
Its pretty damn incredible for a guy like him to own multiple real estate holdings and have his lifestyle and the media not be able to find anything at all about him online.
