Were 500 actually shot or is that just the number of overall injuries?
Injured at like 519. I was exagerating 500 shot, but I figure it has to be hundreds shot right? I mean I have no idea but other than like broken bones from escaping I would think they would only count injuries that require some sort of medical attention so not like twisted ankles?
I honestly don't know. Even still if only 200 were shot, I'd think its likely he shot over 1000 times? Maybe I'm way off, I guess the first 100-200 shots were almost likely to be no misses because the people were so close together. That had to have been hell to be around.

I'll ask again and you can avoid the question again, what part of the how do you not understand in the HOW it happened?

The real problem is the divide in this country.
You generalizing all liberals in the same way that they make blanket statements that everyone in the south is a dumb redneck stuck in the previous century.
Then a situation like this happens, which shouldn't be political at all - and everyone is looking for an opportunity for the left or right to look bad, or even simply a member of the left or right to look bad so that they can extrapolate that onto their feelings for the entire opposite party. Just confirmation bias to further divide each other from a common middle ground where we can make progress.
Not the point of this thread, but anyway.
Yep

He was a retired accountant, but his brother also said earlier that he owned an apartment complex with him in Texas. I believe he also owned some property in Northern Nevada.

While I agree, if you look at the live leak compilation that posted his initial snap, he seemed highly stressed.
edit- especially for someone that has been through even a single day of BUDs

I think that is overall injuries. I've seen people suggest that many of the injuries were people being trampled in the chaos.
I'd imagine there would be plenty of injuries from the chaos, but with 58 dead, it's not unreasonable to believe a good chunk of the 515 injured are due to gunshot wounds as well.
ETA - If you look at something like the Aurora shooting, 12 people were killed and 70 others were injured. The UT tower shooting left 31 injured and killed 14 on campus.

I agree, but to hear the shots and see where he was on the stage/facing the crowd, it's just nuts.

They’ve known this guy’s identity for over 12 hours but it still seems like almost nothing is known about him. If he was wealthy then it makes even less sense that so little is known.

I've seen a lot of stupid shite today I just thought that was noteworthy for being the epitome of selfishness and idiocy all rolled into one. I mean to talk about your fricking struggles as a gay minority using the corpses of the victims as your podium earns a special place in hell in my book.

Despite what many people think, it takes a long time to get off 1000 rounds from a non belt fed gun

He could have used something like this also.
If I'm telling the truth, that was moderately terrifying. After watching that video, it's not crazy to think the guy could've used YouTube and some range time to get the skills to do this relatively quickly and efficiently. But the motive and planning is still a complete mystery.

To me this guy sounds like Travis Bickle in a lot of ways: just a normal everyday guy who slowly grew sickened by the world around him and decided to do something "big"
Yeah, but I'd be willing to bet that overall, country music fans are hardworking, taxpaying people with families and kids and productive lives.
Not exactly the dregs of society.
Unless someone hates decent American citizens.
