What I meant though, was how did he not fire more? There only appears to be 3 or 4 different periods of shooting and he had 11 to 15 guns ready to go.

What is the time frame? I honestly don't know? I thought it was like 30 minutes?
He may have needed to switch guns on the tripods? Or change drums? Those can be a pita?
The security guard supposedly was shot checking on the fire alarm going off? So that explains some time?
500 shots is still a lot. I agree it could have been worse if that's all it was. But if there was 500 people shot, even with ricochets, double hits, pass throughs, etc. than i'd say its much more likely he shot well over 1,000 rounds.

I was wondering what he did based on that previous article about his multiple homes, leaving town for months at a time, etc. I feel like his source of income was nefarious or illicit in some way hence his brother beating around the bush.

I heard it was more than an hour from time of first gunshots to the SWAT breaching his room.
Witness accounts was that it was between 5 to 15 minutes of gunfire.
It is hard to determine how many times he shot, stopped and shot again with only seeing bits and pieces of videos.

The real problem is the divide in this country.
You generalizing all liberals in the same way that they make blanket statements that everyone in the south is a dumb redneck stuck in the previous century.
Then a situation like this happens, which shouldn't be political at all - and everyone is looking for an opportunity for the left or right to look bad, or even simply a member of the left or right to look bad so that they can extrapolate that onto their feelings for the entire opposite party. Just confirmation bias to further divide each other from a common middle ground where we can make progress.

I think that is overall injuries. I've seen people suggest that many of the injuries were people being trampled in the chaos.
