For context, Lake Arcadia is owned by the city of Edmond. Edmond is the wealthiest and least diverse of any city in Oklahoma.
I have camped there several times, but that was many years ago. They only issue we every had to deal with was the occasional small group of teens partying late into the night, but it was no big deal.
Yesterday, there was a festival of some sort held there, and some shite went down.

EDMOND, Okla. -Authorities are investigating a mass shooting near Lake Arcadia after at least 10 people were shot late Sunday night. Police say the number of victims could rise as some may have taken themselves to local hospitals.
Key Takeaways
A group of people was gathering near Arcadia Lake late Sunday when gunfire broke out, leaving at least 10 people shot.
Investigators think that number could climb, since some victims may have gone straight to hospitals instead of waiting at the scene.
How badly people were hurt or whether anyone was killed is still unknown.
Police are working through a large, wooded area, which is slowing down the search for evidence and a possible suspect.
No arrests yet, but authorities say they don’t believe there’s an active threat to the public right now.
Multiple victims found at campground
Edmond Police say officers responded to reports of a shooting at a campground near Arcadia Lake on the night of May 3.
When officers arrived, they found multiple people suffering from gunshot wounds. Investigators later confirmed at least 10 victims.
Police say that number could increase as additional victims may have gone to hospitals on their own.
Conditions of victims unknown
Authorities have not released the conditions of those injured.
Police also have not confirmed whether there were any deaths connected to the shooting as of Monday morning.
No suspect in custody
Investigators say no arrests have been made.
“This is obviously a very terrifying situation, and we understand the concern from the public and those involved and we are working extremely hard to find the suspect and help these victims,” said Emily Ward with the Edmond Police Department.
Search continues in a wooded area
Officials say the shooting happened in a heavily wooded area, making the investigation more difficult overnight.
Police said crews planned to remain on scene through sunrise to continue searching for evidence.

Many of these black even promoters are quick money guys, who won't pay for sufficient security or stop selling tickets when event capacity is reached. We had years of black trail rides without any problems. Then, the quick money guys came in and screwed everything up.

What's the odds the promoter had no permit for that?

Additional context for you baws - Edmond is basically Oklahoma’s version of Mandeville, but even whiter.

% are slowly changing. Whites in Edmond went from 85% in 2000 to just under 72% in 2020. Blacks, mixed, and hispanics grew, and while blacks had just grown to 6.4% in 2020 I can only imagine what Biden’s Autopen and white liberal women pushed in after 2020 in the name of equity under the disguise of affordable housing.

Who would have thought in that environment, gun violence would appear

More like “Gun Fire” those guns don’t have a violent streak like some people.

No, I am saying that good event organizers do things to keep ghetto out. Black club behind my office, no issues. Got to be 25 to get in and no rappers. They hold to their capacity. The one unsolved issue is those who won't pay to get in and they hang out. Big problem for many black clubs.
